Ace Anan Ankomah

Ace Anan Ankomah is the Managing Partner and Head of the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice group. He leads a strongly dedicated team of lawyers who are committed to excellence, diligence and hard work. He has 23 years’ experience in legal practice.
Aside from his work as a lawyer, Ace manages the affairs of the firm assiduously, ensuring that every department is functioning for the continuous development of the firm and society. His skills as manager and administrator have jointly contributed towards the high rankings the firm has attained in both local and international circles.

Ace is a member of the Ghana Bar Association. He has served on the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce, and as the Regional Vice-Chair for Europe/Middle East/Africa of the Lex Mundi Managing Partners Committee. He has also worked as the General Manager of the Data Centa Limited, a subsidiary of our firm. In addition, Ace has served on various boards and advisory committees nationwide.

Ace graduated from the University of Ghana in 1990 with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B). After which he enrolled into the Ghana School of Law leaving with a Qualification Certificate in Law in 1992. From 1993-1994, he further pursued a Masters of Laws (LL.M) focusing on International Taxation at the Queen’s University in Canada. From the late 80’s to the millennium years Ace has taken up varied teaching and legal focused assignments whilst working with the University of Ghana, Legon and the Queens University, Canada where he has worked as a research assistant and Lecturer.

Ace has therefore become an acknowledged leader in litigation and dispute resolution, possessing wide experience in the practice and in the teaching of Company Law, Tax Law and Civil Litigation & Procedure.

Bashir Mundi

Bashir Mundi is a Director, and former Chairman, of the Development Initiative of West Africa (DIWA), and a Director of Inspire Academy, Abuja. He has served as Assistant Director of the Da’wah Institute of Nigeria, Imam for the Al-Huda Islamic Center, Athens, Georgia, Director of Education and Training for the Institute of Islamic Information and Education, Chicago, and Director of External Relations and Training for the International Centre for Islamic Culture and Education, Abuja.

Bashir has made several presentations at interfaith conferences, universities, mosques, and churches, and conducted training seminars on Islam and Dialogue for Peaceful coexistence, Personal Development, and Leadership in the USA, Malaysia, Bahrain, Sierra Leone, Sudan, Sri Lanka, and Nigeria. Bashir has hosted the program, “Your American Muslim Neighbor” on Chicago’s CAN-TV, anchored the “Interfaith Forum” on the African Independent Television, and presented the 30-part series, “Qur’anic Reflections: A Synoptic Commentary on the Muslim Sacred Scripture” on the Nigerian Television Authority.

Bashir holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics and Computer Science from the Federal University of Technology, Minna, Nigeria, and currently pursues a graduate degree in Religion at the University of Georgia, where he is also an Instructor of Record.

Estelle Akofio-Sowah

Estelle has over 18 years of experience in the internet and business development industry in Ghana, including being the Managing Director of BusyInternet, Africa’s hugely successful internet startup and being the Country Lead for Google’s operations in Ghana. Highlights of her leadership include launching an award winning ISP, implementing the Ghana chapter of the World Bank Incubator program and launching and promoting various products and programs aimed at making the internet an integral part of people’s lives. Estelle majored in Economics and Development Studies at the University of Sussex. Her contributions to the internet sector and commitment to excellence earned her selection as a 2008 Fellow of the African Leadership Initiative. She currently serves on the Board of Databank, Stanbic Bank, Ghana International School and the Ministerial Advisory Committee to Ghana’s Minister of Communications.

Fabian Ajogwu

Fabian Ajogwu is a Senior Advocate of Nigeria and the Founding Partner of Kenna Partners. He is an Alumnus of the Said Business School of Oxford University, and an Alumnus of the Lagos Business School. Professor Ajogwu holds a doctorate in Law from University of Aberdeen, Scotland; an MBA from the IESE Business School, University of Navarra, Barcelona; and Law degrees from the University of Nigeria, and the University of Lagos. 

Professor Ajogwu is a Fellow and Director of the Society for Corporate Governance Nigeria; a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Chartered Arbitrators, Fellow of the African Leadership Initiative West Africa (2009 Class set), Henry Crown Global Leadership of the Aspen Institute, Fellow of the AIFA Reading Society, Fellow of the Society for Art Collection, and a member of the Oxford Philosophical Society. He served on the pioneer board of the Lagos Court of Arbitration between 2010 and 2020 and was Vice-President. He serves on the Governing Council of the Nigerian Institute of Chartered Arbitrators, as its Vice-President. He served on the Governing Council of the Pan-Atlantic University (Lagos Business School), served as a member of the General Council of the Bar, and the Council of Legal Education (Nigerian Law School) as the statutorily designated Distinguished Legal Author between 2010 and 2018. Hajara Adeola

Hajara Adeola is the Managing Director and Chief Executive of Lotus Capital Limited. She has over 20 years’ experience working in top tier global investment banks in the UK and Nigeria, where she focused on research and analyses, investment management, Islamic finance and corporate finance.

Prior to founding Lotus Capital, she previously worked with Arthur Anderson Consulting (now Accenture). UBS Warburg, BNP Paribas and ARM Investment Managers. Hajara is regarded as the top industry expert in Islamic fund management in Nigeria.

Hajara is the first President of the Fund Manager’s Association of Nigeria and a West African Fellow of the Aspen Leadership Initiative. She is also the Chairperson of the Securities & Exchange Commission’s non-interest capital market 10 year master plan committee and a Director of the Aliko Dangote Foundation.

Hajara holds a master’s degree in finance from Durham University, where she specialized in Islamic Finance. John C. Enelamah is executive director of Apostles in the Marketplace, a network committed to advancing leadership principles in the marketplace and building a platform for change agents in society. He is also senior pastor of World Revival Church as well as president and founder of Endtimes Revival Ministries Inc. both based in Lagos, Nigeria. 

He is the founder of the Employment Bureau, an outfit that practically equips people for their life’s assignment. The Bureau helps students and participants discover and pursue their God-ordained purpose. Kobina Asmah Jr

Kobina Asmah Jr. is founder and CEO of Type Company Limited, a graphic design and print firm. Between 1988-93, he worked with the Non-Formal Education Division, Ministry of Education as graphic designer and served as the head of the Print Materials Unit, responsible for the design of functional literacy materials for the National Literacy Programme. During this period, he also served as a design consultant to WaterAid Ghana, UNICEF, DANIDA, and other NGOs.

He started his career in 1983, first working as a graphic designer with Yenok Decorative Wood Products in Takoradi. He holds an MBA from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) and a BA in graphic design from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology, Kumasi. He has also received training in desktop publishing and computer graphics at the Elmhirst Centre, the Dartington College of Arts in Totnes, England and Bristol University, UK.

Kofi is Senior Vice President and Policy Analyst with Imani Ghana, voted among the top think tanks in Africa and one of the leading Think Tanks in Ghana.

Kojo Oppong-Nkrumah

Kojo Oppong Nkrumah born April 5 1982, is a Ghanaian politician and Lawyer. He is the Member of Parliament for the Ofoase-Ayirebi constituency.

Kojo had his basic school education at St. Bernadette Soubirous School in Dansoman and continued to Pope John Senior High School and Minor Seminary for his senior high education and later studied at the University of Cape Coast where he received a bachelor’s degree in Commerce.

In 2012 he graduated with an MBA in Marketing from the University of Ghana, Legon and in 2014 Kojo was awarded a bachelor’s degree in law (LLB) at the GIMPA Faculty of Law .After two years of studies, he was called to the Bar as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Ghana in 2016.

Kojo started his career as a Treasury Analyst at British American Tobacco in 2006 and later moved on to Joy FM as a Broadcast Journalist hosting the Super Morning Show after the departure of host Komla Dumor.In 2014, he bowed out of broadcasting to establish an investment firm, West Brownstone Capital. By 2016, he had become a lawyer practicing at Kulendi, Attafuah and Amponsah at law.

In 2015 he contested and won the N.P.P parliamentary primaries for Ofoase-Ayirebi constituency in the Eastern Region of Ghana .He won this parliamentary seat during the 2016 Ghanaian general elections. He is currently the Minister of Information and is the Cabinet spokesperson on the Economy. He additionally serves as a member of the Finance and Constitutional committees of the 7th Parliament of Ghana.

Nana Oye has a Bachelor of Law (BL) from the School of Law, Accra (1992) and a Masters in Law, Human Rights and Democratization in Africa (LLM) from the University of Pretoria, South Africa (2001).

For years she worked as the Regional Coordinator (Africa Office) for the Commonwealth Human Rights Initiative (CHRI).

She is an advisory member of the International Consortium on Realising Reproductive Rights and a member of the steering committee of the International Consortium on Medical Abortion.

The Human Rights Advocate is an executive member of the International Freedom of Information Advocates Network, the Africa Freedom of Information Centre, and the Convener of the Right to Information Coalition of Ghana.

Nana Oye is also an advisory member of the R3M Advisory Committee, Ghana and the Coalition on the Donorship to Ownership project with the Planned Parenthood Association, Ghana.

She has been involved with the Coordinated African Regional Survey on Access to Information for Ghana, as well as running an access to justice program and a human rights clinic.

She was a lead consultant that drafted the human rights section for Ghana’s NEPAD/Africa Peer Review Mechanism Report 2004.

Nana Oye also drafted the access to justice OSI/AFRIMAP Report on Ghana.

She is renowned for her strong passion and dedication towards advocating for human rights and gender equality.

Nana Oye is a Policy and Advocacy Consultant for IPAS and Population Council, Ghana.

Other positions she has held include Director, Governing Board of the Internal Revenue Service Ghana, member, Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Bar Association, Greater Accra branch, Director of Vocational Services, and Rotary Club of Accra East.

Nana Oye was the national secretary of the International Federation of Women Lawyers, (FIDA-Ghana) and the immediate past Honorary Legal Advisor of the Ghana Red Cross Society.

She was honoured with the Vera Chirwa Award for Human Rights in Africa for her outstanding performance in the protection of human rights in Africa in 2007 by the Centre for Human Rights, University of Pretoria, South Africa.

She has received the African Servant Leadership Award in 2011; the Champion of Women’s Rights Award in 2012 and the West African Women in Leadership Award for “Distinguished Impact”.

Nana Oye was also appointed as honorary member of the Institute of Public Relations, Ghana in 2007.

She has also been appointed as a Millennium Development Goal 3 torch bearer by the Danish Government, 2008, and is a member of the United Nations Country Team Civil Society Advisory Committee for Ghana, 2008.

Sandra Mbanefo-Obiago

Sandra Mbanefo Obiago is an art curator, photographer, poet and award-winning filmmaker who is passionate about strengthening the creative industry to develop the African continent. She is the founder and artistic director of SMO Contemporary Art, curating art exhibitions in non-traditional gallery spaces to promote the best of African art.

Obiago started her career in 1988 as a technical director and video editor at the European Business Channel in Zurich, Switzerland. Two years later, she joined environmental group, WWF International, and covered environment and development projects in sub-Saharan Africa as a photo-journalist for eight years. In 1998 she founded Communicating for Change (CFC), a media for development social enterprise based in Lagos, which became an important content provider for local and international television stations. Her award-winning films and radio programs focused on human rights, women’s empowerment, HIV and AIDS, environment, democracy and good governance, as well as art for development.

Obiago is a Fellow of the Aspen Institute’s African Leadership Initiative for West Africa (ALIWA). She received a bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Manitoba and a master’s degree in telecommunications from Michigan State University. Obiago focuses on using creativity as an avenue for wealth creation and inspiring a positive narrative about Africa for local and international audiences.

Sheila Minkah-Premo

Sheila Minkah-Premo is managing consultant at Apex Lawconsult, a legal consultancy in Accra. The firm provides corporate law services as well as family law services and land securitization. As a development consultant, she has worked with DANIDA, the Friedrich Norman Foundation, African Women Lawyers Association, and Women in Leadership and Development (WILAD). She studied as a fellow of the Leadership and Advocacy for Women in Africa (LAWA) component of the Women’s Law and Public Policy Fellowship Program, based at that University. With her active involvement, the Ghana alumnae of the program (LAWA-Ghana Alumnae Incorporated), has undertaken several legislative advocacy programs including drafting of legislation to address domestic violence in Ghana. She holds a degree from the University of Ghana, Legon and a masters in law (LLM) from the Georgetown University Law Centre (GULC), Washington D.C., in the United States of America, where she focused on human rights law.

Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey

Shirley is a product of the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS), the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ), Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), the Pitman’s Central College, Universities of London and Westminster all in the United Kingdom (UK).

The Hon. Minister holds an Executive MBA, (Project Management option), MA in Public Communication, Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB), a Diploma in Public Relations and Advertising as well as a certificate in Marketing Management.

Before entering into frontline politics, Hon Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey ran a successful Marketing and Communications Company where she was a consultant for the Ministry of Tourism.

As a practitioner of public administration, she worked with various organizations such as Worldspace Ghana, the Divestiture Implementation Committee, Glaxo Group Research and Hodge Recruitment.

In the last NPP administration under President John Agyekum Kufuor, Hon Ayorkor Botchwey served as Deputy Minister for the Foreign Affairs, Information, as well as the Trade and Industry ministries. She is a fourth term legislator and represented the most populous constituency in the country, Weija, for two terms until it was demarcated. She is currently serving a second term, representing the people of Anyaa/Sowutuom.

At the party level, the Hon. Minister served as spokesperson on Foreign Affairs between the year 2009 and 2013.

During the same period, she was Ranking Member for the Parliamentary Select Committee on Foreign Affairs and subsequently, the Appointments, Defence and Interior Committees of Parliament

A member of the ECOWAS Parliament from 2013 – 2017, Hon. Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey worked with her colleagues to assist the Community Parliament in its advisory role in considering matters concerning the region particularly on issues relating to fundamental human rights and freedom, while making recommendations to institutions and organs of ECOWAS. The Hon Minister also served as Vice Chair on the NEPAD & APRM Committees.

Currently she sits on the Communication as well as the Gender and Children Committees of Parliament where she works with colleague members to look into matters relating to communications generally as well as examine all gender and children focused issues to ensure their inclusion in all appropriate legislation.

Gen. Tunde Reis retired as a brigadier general from the Nigerian Army and is now the President and Chief Executive Officer of First World Communities Ltd – a company focused on large scale delivery of affordable housing and associated infrastructure in West Africa. He also serves as consultant to the Nigerian Army and other government agencies on housing, land and urban development. In 2007, he was appointed the Executive Chairman of Nigeria’s Federal Housing Authority (FHA), where he received commendation from the President of Nigeria. Prior to this, he established a retirement housing scheme for officers and soldiers. He is a Fellow the Africa Leadership Initiative-West Africa and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network. He is one of Nigeria’s leading housing experts with a track record of delivering the highly acclaimed Post Service Housing Scheme which remains one of the largest housing initiatives to date. He pioneered the Co-operative Villas, Badore in Lagos Sate, which is considered to be one of the best of its kind in West Africa. He was also Executive Chairman of the Federal Housing Authority and is a fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Architects. He holds a PhD in Housing Studies from the United Kingdom. Gen Reis is a recipient of two national honours: the National Productivity Order of Merit (NPOM) and Officer Order of Niger (OON).

Shola Safo-Duodu is an expert in strategic communications, marketing management, brand management, and leadership skills training. She has a proven track record in leadership and people management and has established credibility as an experienced and versatile management professional in her career of more than 25 years in the banking and manufacturing industries.

Shola holds a BA degree from the University of Ghana, an MA from Cambridge University and a Doctorate degree in Management from the Swiss Management Centre University. She is a Chartered Marketer by profession, a trained Performance Development Facilitator and an Intercultural Fluency Facilitator with the British Council in Ghana.

Shola is the immediate past National President of the Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana, and was also a leadership and management training consultant for 2 years.

Soji Apampa

Soji Apampa is director and consultant for the Convention on Business Integrity, which he founded in 1997. He was most recently CEO of RTA Intelligence Ltd, a business intelligence and reputation risks management company. 

Prior to that, he was managing director of SAP Nigeria Ltd and regional manager for West Africa for SAP, where he worked for eight years. Soji graduated with a bachelor’s in engineering (Honors) in civil and structural engineering from Sheffield University and MSc. in governance and finance from John Moores University. 

He was appointed to the UN Global Compact’s International Working Group on the 10th Principle (anti-corruption) in 2008. Mr. Soji Apampa, was for several years, a Consultant to the Governance and Institutions Policy Commission of the Nigeria Economic Summit Group (NESG). He was on the editorial board of the 2009 TI Global Corruption Report and was member of the Organizing Committee of the 12th International Anti-Corruption Conference which took place in Guatemala City, Guatemala. 

He is a leader of thought on the subject of ‘change and institutions’ where he has demonstrated visionary leadership, creativity and effective implementation of his ideas in the commencement, inception and subsequent support to the implementation of the DFID Coalitions for Change (C4C) Programme and the State Accountability & Voice Initiative.

For the last 20 years, he has designed and implemented anti-corruption initiatives in Africa; he has worked on very high profile, sensitive assignments for many years and is the author of several research reports on different aspects of governance.

Uwa is currently the Head, Corporate Development at Capital Alliance Nigeria, a member of the African Capital Alliance group.

Prior to joining the ACA group in 2013, she had worked for close to seventeen years with ReStraL Limited, a management consulting firm delivering strategy and organisational development solutions, including managing the Franklin Covey franchise for the West African region. She served as CEO of the firm, from 2004 to 2012.

Uwa is a Lawyer by qualification and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1988, receiving both her B.L. and the honour of graduating as the best law student that year. The following year, she won a NYSC State Honour for her work as Chair of the Legal Aid Council Benue State. She holds an MBA qualification from her AlmaMata, the University of Benin, Nigeria and also holds a post graduate diploma in Economics from the University of London.

Dr. Yaw Perbi is a medical doctor by training and has practiced medicine in both his home country, Ghana, and with the United Nations Operation in Cote d’Ivoire.

He is a renowned author-publisher, a sought-after preacher, inspirational teacher and life coach for scores of emerging leaders around the world.  Although a man of many parts his foremost passion is holistic emerging leadership development.

After miraculously escaping a tragic road traffic accident in 2008, he strongly sensed the LORD had saved him for a purpose beyond Medicine. In 2009 he hung up his stethoscope to fully commit himself to the preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and raising emerging leaders worldwide—he hasn’t turned back since. For four years (2012-2016) he had the privilege of pastoring the Montreal Chinese Alliance Grace Church.

Dr. Yaw Perbi currently resides in Montreal, Canada with his graceful wife, Anyele, and seven energetic children, where he dexterously combines preaching and pastoring with a variety of public speaking engagements, leadership and financial consultancy, and serving as Global CEO of The HuD Group with operations in 22 countries. He is a fellow of the Africa Leadership Initiative and the Aspen Global Leadership Network.

Yaw and Anyele believe in business as mission, and have ventures like Adeshe Real Estate, including a couple of AirBnB properties in Ghana and Canada.

As current President of the International Student Ministries of Canada, he has responsibility for nearly 100 staff in over 20 cities from coast to coast in the second widest country on earth! Yaw sits on several international boards and was recently cited by the Lausanne Movement as being in a “strategic global leadership role” in our world today. He is a Lausanne Movement catalyst.
