Transitioning the 100-year old facility that has operated as a Children’s Hospital for 50
years into a world-class teaching and research children’s regional referral hospital.

The Massey Street Children’s Hospital Project is a transformation project aimed at transitioning the 100-year old facility that has operated as a Children’s Hospital for 50 years into a world-class teaching and research children’s regional referral hospital. When the updates are finished, the transformed hospital will provide teaching and research opportunities for thousands, and care for hundreds of thousands of ill children.

The final phase will be the development of a consortium aimed at the actual transformation including the location of a new building, designing, building and furnishing the building, expanding clinical services and equipping the facility to become an educationally sound establishment affiliated with several other institutions providing comprehensive pediatric training for health care workers and medical students.
