Creating a national debate organization to get Ghana participation in the world debating championships, improve the analytical and “thinking on
the feet” skills of Ghanaians, improve on people’s tolerance for opposing views and generally improve the quality of national discourse.

The idea of Debate for Development is to create a national debate organization in Ghana, which organizes and facilitates debates at all levels (primary schools, junior high schools, senior high schools, universities and public). The aim is to adopt the British Parliamentary debating style.

The objectives are: To get Ghana participation in the world debating championships, improve the analytical and “thinking on the feet” skills of Ghanaians, improve on people’s tolerance for opposing views and generally improve the quality of national discourse.
